What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our Shipping/Product Team. In this role, you will become familiar with various immigration processes by preparing applications with care. You will work closely with the Customer Success Team and help print, prepare, and ship immigration applications.

You will be an essential part of our team by making sure each application is correctly assembled and printed to meet quality standards. In this role you will print, prepare, and assemble applications, as well as track the inventory of shipping materials. By handling applications with care, you will play an important role in our customers’ journeys and in doing so, shape the immigration experience for thousands of people and their families around the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Follow printing protocols for each application type
  • Coordinate with the CS team to print customer applications for the day, prep and assemble shipping packets, and track inventory of shipping supplies
  • Develop a reliable and working knowledge of immigration rules
  • Report any urgent issues to team leadership; incorporate creative solutions moving forward
  • Execute basic printer troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Understand basic technical troubleshooting on your own computer (ex. Printing settings)
  • Be willing to take on additional responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Attention to detail. The shipping team is the final eye on every application that leaves our office.
  • Go-getting mentality in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Strong sense of accountability, attention to detail, and work ethic
  • Ability to communicate questions and concerns
  • Care deeply about producing consistent quality results
  • Empathy for immigrants and the challenges they face throughout the immigration process
  • Passion for building customer relationships and solving customer needs
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize activities
  • Ability to lift objects, like boxes, overhead
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift approximately 25lbs from ground to table-height
  • Comfortable with repetitive movements associated with using and maintaining office supplies, like loading paper into a printer, stapling, and hole punching
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
  • Experience with commercial printers and basic troubleshooting
  • Experience with Adobe and Jira
  • Background or lived experience in U.S. immigration and/or global mobility
  • Spanish language proficiency a plus
